The McQuaide Family Deepest Condolences December 10, 2011
Dr. Cutrone's patience, smile, kindness, and incredibly personable nature truly made it a joy to visit the dentist.  My daughter actually got excited when I would tell her she was going in for an annual cleaning.  How many kids can say that?  Dr. Cutrone's thoughtful touches within her practice (toys, TVs, and even how she interacted with the kids) made it obvious that she truly loved what she did and was great at it.   Our deepest condolences, and may you find strength in her wonderful memory as you approach this Christmas season.  She will be incredibly missed.

Dr. Cutrone taught me all I know about pediatric dentistry. She was an amazing woman and extremely kind hearted! She was amazingly patient with all the kids we would treat. Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself with me. I am so sorry I wasn't there for you towards the end! The pediatric dental world has lost such an amazing gift. You are dearly missed and loved!
Oariona lowe Rememberances October 23, 2011
I have fond memories of Chrys. We were first introduced by Dr. Rick Udin, Chair and Program Director of the USC Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program. When I met Chrys, I said to myself, what a nice person. A year later after meeting her, I heard that she had partnered with Dr. Wando Claro opening a Pedo-Ortho Dental practice in Irvine. I thought, what a great combination, Chrys and Wanda!  As my practice thrived, working long hours, I thought of how nice it would be to just work for someone and not have to worry about running and managing an office.  One day I said to my husband,  if I sell my practice I would like to work with Dr. Cutrone in Irvine. That opportunity never came. In the last months before Chrys relocated to New York I asked her to help me out in my practice.  I remember a Saturday in September, 2010 when we were finishing up with patients that she told me that she was having some discomfort in her lower abdomen. This was the last time I saw her in California. She will truly be missed.

Joan Oliver Thoughts October 22, 2011
My daughter has cerebral palsy and is deaf so when we moved to Orange County when she was 6 I needed to find a dentist attuned to her needs. Finding health professionals who "got" my daughter wasn't easy; in fact, we had already had a doctor turn her down as a patient. Since I worked at Long Beach Memorial I contacted the dental clinic there for a referral and they gave me the name of Chrys Cutrone. At our first visit, we experienced  her warmth, her compassion, her sense of humor, and her professionalism. My daughter and my two sons were patients until she moved to SJC.  Thank you to her family for lending her to us a while---you and her friends are in our thoughts.

Becker Family Sympathy to the Cutrone Family October 12, 2011

Dr. Cutrone touched the lives of so many people. We are very sad and will keep her family in our thoughts and prayers. I first met Dr. Cutrone when my children were very young in the Irvine office. She was such a warm, caring person and a wonderful dentist so we followed her practice when she moved to SJC. I would also see her in the evenings as our children took swimming lessons at the same pool. Over the years Dr. Cutrone and I would talk often about her children, she was so proud of them.  My children always looked forward to their dental checkups, thanks to Dr. Cutrone and her wonderful staff. Once my husband asked why we did not use a dentist closer to home. When he heard what the kids said about Dr. Cutrone, he never asked that question again!  She has been a part of their lives for almost 14 years. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.

With Deepest Sympathy,
The Becker Family

Allison Carr To Samantha & John October 5, 2011

Thank you for sharing your gentle and kind mother with us.  Dr. Cutrone is the only dentist my sons have ever known. While caring for my boys, who are about the same age as y’all, your mom constantly referred to the two of you and made loving remarks about various aspects of your lives… always with that beautiful Greek sparkle in her eyes.  Samantha, many years ago, back in the Irvine office, when she instructed me how to brush my first young son's teeth, she referenced you and described how she brushed your teeth while you reclined on the bed.

We adore your wonderful mother not only for her gentle and kind spirit, but also because of our trust in her medical expertise.  My faith in her as a professional was complete because it was always evident she treated my children’s dental requirements exactly as she treated her own children’s needs.  Plainly said, she was always a mother, who happened to be a dentist, caring for the children of other mothers.

I cannot for a moment begin to imagine your pain, your overwhelming loss.

With sadness,
Allison Carr

Herrmann Family Kindhearted October 5, 2011

I felt a deep sadness today when I received this letter.

Dr. Cutrone was a truly kind and gentle person. As a mother of two, I felt so grateful to have found Dr. Cutrone's practice. From the moment I walked into her office I knew that she was going to be the perfect fit for my children. In addition to the whimsical styled office, she thought of everything that a child would find comforting during their first experiences at a dental office. She spoke to my children so gently and used terms like "sugar bugs" so that they would understand the importance of brushing. Choosing a movie to view, the treasure box and the dental kits made them really enjoy their time with her. They actually said it was fun. I could tell that her practice was much more than just a business. She was extraordinary!

Something Beautiful Remains

The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand,

the sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.

The music stops and yet it echoes on in sweet refrain
for every joy that
passes,
something beautiful remains.

Sincere Condolences to the Cutrone Family,

Laurie King Mrs. October 2, 2011

We were so shocked to hear of Dr. Cutrone's passing, she was our grandaughter's dentist for many years and I always felt she was also our friend.  We often talked about her children, and her family who she was so proud of.  We will pray for her young family, and keep her in our prayers as well. All our love the King Family.  She will be sadly missed.

Joanne Suarez Martinez DDS September 26, 2011
My heart is filled with sadness at the lost of a friend and colleague. Chrys was such a wonderful person. I remember the first time meeting her 11 years ago in my residency and continued to stay in contact with her over the years. We shared life and practice experiences together over lunch and discussed our future goals as pediatric dentists. May God bless her family and children at this time and I pray they know how many lives she touched. We will miss you Chrys!

Love,
Joanne Suarez Martinez
